Hole 1 Par 4 - 428 Yards     Return to Home Page

Your golfing experience at Pilgrim's Oak begins with a par 4 of moderate difficulty.  From the moment you hit the tee, you'll have to decide whether to go the safe route and settle for a longer approach of about 155 yards, or take a risk and go for the slope and receive an extra 75 yards of roll.  The latter will leave you a shorter shot of about 75 yards that will most likely be from the rough as the fairway narrows and it is hard to keep balls from rolling into the rough and off of the slope.  Most will take the safe shot, but the green is small and mounded.  You should be in for a good round if you can start your day with a par here.
